if the burden seems too much to bear remember the end will justify the pain it took to get us there
freshmen
Ah, initiation day. The theater's religious holiday as Hayley said. It's the one day where we get to rule the school and amaze everything with our overemphasized weirdness. The card-holder's have the power. The initiatees are in our control. I love it.
Actually, I haven't carded that many people. But during theater, Steve and Marissa took people out and made them stand on the median in the middle of 161 and Evening Street, and I tagged along. Then when we got back everyone was freaking out, saying, "That's sooo mean, oh my gosh, you can't do that, you can't take people outside." Calm down. It's not that mean, I can personally guaruntee that none of those freshmen will be scarred for life. Every year people have to do it by 161, it's not that big a deal. I would've enjoyed it if I had had to as a freshmen. If it's violating school rules, then I see their point, but as far as being overly cruel goes, that's nowhere close. I'd rather stand on a median and yell at cars then do it in a country accent hopping around in a circle chicken-dancing, like Amber makes people do it. It's just for fun, so everyone can chill. Actually, it's not like I'm that upset about it, I just don't really see how it's as harmful as some people were saying it was. It was funny to see the looks on people's faces as they drove by.
I can't wait to see everyone do theirs after school. But I'm nervous about officers. I really really want it, but I doubt I will be elected. I'm not funny or outgoing enough. But I still really really want it. Wish me luck. I think we get wills today too. Hopefully a few people remembered me in theirs. I'm not really that close to any seniors though, just people in my grade.
So the point of this entry is nothing...just to say that initiation day rocks and i want to be an officer. And, Stopa is bringing me a milkshake from Arby's at the meeting! Yay!
