the weekend from heaven
This weekend kicked butt. Seriously. I love having a car and my mom gone.
Friday: I drove myself to school, yay yay. I got called to guidance w/ a schedule problem for next year. I can’t take AP Lit, AP Euro, and have a late arrival. So, being the good student I am, I gave up my late arrival. So sad. Then in chemistry we made ice cream!!!!!! Yum. I was so temted to skip Wind Ensemble and Latin, but I didn’t. Darn being a good girl. But I did have a car, so I got to leave 8th period!!!! Yay! Then I worked on P2P homework and packing my suitcase. I waited for David (RB) to call to see if he wanted to to do something, but then I just gave up and called Stopa. We couldn’t go thrifting w/ the ‘net crew, cuz Shelly was working and Deedee was being lame (aka, hanging out w/ her bf). So Stopa and I went to China Way and ate sesamee chicken. We had fun and came up w/ new inside jokes (Thanks for defiling my tuner!) then we went to see "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen" because we had heard it was horrible. Quite possibly the worst movie I’ve ever seen. They did a version of Pygmalion w/ a ghetto NYC girl trying to speak like a normal person. Hilariously horrible. We couldn’t stop laughing. Then we drove by 2 certain people’s houses…no Chinese fire drills though. Then we went to Graeter’s and talked to Renee. We sat outside cuz it was so nice. I eventually went home at around 11:30.
Saturday: Woke up at 7:40, it was raining. I left to go to the P2P meeting at Blendon Woods at like 8:40 and got there w/ plenty of time. The meeting was boring, RB and I were at complete opposite ends of the picnic shelter. L I’m afraid that we’re gonna be too obviously "interested" in each other to everyone else. Stacey already knows somehow, and it was pretty obvious that we left together. But I guess as long as the leaders don’t know we’re ok. So after the meeting we drove to RB’s house to get 2 mix CDs he made for us. One is all Usher songs, the other is our favorites, or songs that remind him of me, or me of him, or something, which are these:
"I Believe in A Thing Called Love" by The Darkness
"My Band" by D12
"The Reason" by Hoobastank
"Do You Wanna Be My Girl?" by Jet
"This Love" by Maroon 5
"Such Great Heights" by The Postal Service
"Hey Ya" by Outkast
"I Need A Girl" b P. Diddy and Usher
Needless to say, that CD rocks. He gave it to me, I’m listening to it as I write this. So then we decided to go see "Envy". It was weirdly funny. I just kept freaking out about "things to come" during that whole movie. And I decide I hate armrests. The 2 seats were much too separate…;-) So after that we eventually decided to rent a movie and take it back to his house. So we got "Resident Evil" and just sat on his couch watching. I actually liked it, despite it not being my kind of movie. But then again I would’ve like anything in that situation. J [I would just like to insert here how awesome I think it is that we are all cool enough to write our most private, personal moments and feelings on the internet for the world to see. Insane, aren’t we? I love it.] So Ill just say that after the movie we sat there on the couch fiddling around w/ my camera from prom that had that anticipated 1 picture left on it. The RB’s mom told him to go get his suitcase out of the car in the garage, I followed him, and we took our picture. Hmmm…debating about whether or not to tell somebody something about that…maybe later. Background info: RB’s sister, who’s in college, is dating Mr. Gellhardt (sp? Our assistant dean of students, or whatever.) So RB’s mom says, "We’re (his mom and dad) going out to dinner w/ Steve and Taryn (his sis and gellhardt). Do you guys want to come?" I was like sure, what the heck, it sounds like an incredibly awkward situation waiting to happen, but why not? So we went to Strada, this nice restaurant downtown. And I can now say I’ve had dinner w/ Mr. Gellhardt…weird huh? But he seems like a nice guy…not that I thought he wasn’t…I just never would’ve had any interaction w/ him at school….since I’m a good girl. So once dinner was over we drove back home, following his parents in my van. RB said "ok, once I know where I’m going, start driving really slowly." I was like "ok (mischievous grin)" Then we got stuck at a red light that his parents made it through. We’re like "yes!" But then we notice that his dad actually pulled off to wait for us. So on a desperate measure, RB made me turn right once the light changed and we drove back through some neighborhoods to get to his house. The plan was to get there a couple minutes after everyone else so we could "take another picture." But it didn’t work out because we actually got there about 1 minute before they did. By this time it was about 8:30, and I didn’t have to be home, but I figured RB’s family would be wanting me to leave, so I did. W/o my goodnight kiss cuz there were like 4 other people there…L. It was about and 8 hour date, and it wasn’t long enough. I don’t think any amount of time would b e.
Sunday: Just went to church, then went to see grandma. Writing this in the car on the way to and back from Akron. Right now I just can’t wait to get home and get online.
My mission for this week: survive to this weekend, not fail my math test, don’t get mom mad at me, and think of my "creative response" for this weekend….oh, and turn 17.
